Lookahead: Read-only Gantt for Jira

These terms are the licence for the Lookahead app. They are separate from the Dripwork Terms of Service, which cover this website only.

1. Who you are dealing with

Lookahead is published by a sole trader established in Finland, trading as Dripwork.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean the above. "You" means the organisation that installs Lookahead on its Atlassian site, and the people who use it there.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to the Lookahead app, wherever it is installed. By installing or using it, you accept them.

Your Atlassian site, and the marketplace you install from, are governed by your own agreement with Atlassian. Where these terms and the Atlassian Marketplace terms conflict on installation, billing or refunds, the Atlassian terms govern.

3. The licence

While you hold a valid subscription or trial for Lookahead, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on the Atlassian site it is installed on, for your own internal business purposes, for as long as that subscription or trial lasts.

You may not:

• sublicense, resell, rent or otherwise make the app available to anyone outside your organisation;
• copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the app;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that law expressly permits despite this restriction;
• remove or obscure any notice of ownership in the app;
• use the app to build a competing product.

4. Buying, trials and billing

Lookahead is a paid app sold through the Atlassian Marketplace. Atlassian handles pricing, payment, invoicing, trials, renewals, refunds and cancellation under its own terms. We never take payment on this website.

The price and tiers that apply are those shown on the Atlassian Marketplace listing at the time of purchase. A free trial, where offered, is provided by the Marketplace and ends on the date it states.

If a subscription lapses, the app shows a notice instead of the timeline. Your saved views are not deleted when that happens, and they are available again when the subscription is renewed.

5. What the app does

Lookahead reads work items, projects, fields, saved filters and versions from your Atlassian site and draws them as a timeline. It holds read permissions only and cannot create, change, move or delete anything in your site.

The timeline is a presentation of dates that already exist in your site, including dates the app infers from sprints, fix versions or child work items. It is an aid to reading a schedule, not a guarantee about it, and it is not a substitute for your own planning decisions. The documentation states the app's limits plainly, and you should read them before relying on it.

6. Your data

Your data stays yours. The app reads it inside Atlassian's platform, with each user's own permissions, and transmits nothing outside Atlassian. What it stores, and for how long, is set out in the app privacy policy.

You are responsible for who you grant access to your Atlassian site, and for deciding whether a shared view is appropriate to share. Shared views do not widen anyone's permissions: each person still sees only the work items Jira already allows them to see.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app to access data you are not authorised to see;
• interfere with the app's operation, or with Atlassian's platform, including by automated flooding;
• use the app in breach of applicable law, or of your agreement with Atlassian.

8. Support and availability

Support is provided by email at support@dripwork.dev. We aim to answer promptly and to fix genuine faults, but we do not offer a guaranteed response time or a service level commitment.

The app runs on Atlassian's Forge platform, so its availability depends on Atlassian's. We may change, improve or discontinue features. If we withdraw the app altogether, we will say so on the Marketplace listing and on this site, and any subscription then in force is handled under the Atlassian Marketplace terms.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its source code, its interface, the Lookahead and Dripwork names and our logos belong to us. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the app without obligation or payment, and doing so gives us no rights over your data.

10. No warranty

The app is provided as it is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the schedule it draws is free of mistakes in your own data.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of anticipated savings, or business interruption arising from your use of the app, however caused.

Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the app, in aggregate, is limited to the fees you paid for Lookahead in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Term and ending the licence

The licence runs for as long as your subscription or trial does. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the app, and by cancelling the subscription through Atlassian.

We may suspend or end the licence if these terms are breached in a serious way and the breach is not put right within a reasonable time after we ask. On termination, you must stop using the app and uninstall it. Atlassian deletes the app's stored data under its standard Forge data retention rules.

13. If you are a consumer

If you use the app as a consumer rather than for business purposes, you keep all the rights given to you by mandatory Finnish and EU consumer law, and nothing in these terms reduces them. A dispute about payment, a refund or a cancellation is usually one to raise with the Atlassian Marketplace first, since that is where the purchase is made.

For a dispute we cannot settle between us, a consumer in Finland can contact the Consumer Advisory Service and refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes are noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and the Finnish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the EEA country where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country.
